Da Wei’s debut solo guitar album, where he expands upon the instrument’s resonant properties in ambient space. With a subtle combination of gain, effects, and amp placement, he orchestrates multilayered threads of feedback, drone, and harmonies. These threads overlap, overtake each other, then split again into a thousand parallel voices. The drone conjures the experience of time, change, and the co-existing lines of many possible futures. The drone persists into the infinite.
